Implementation in our company

The EU Chemicals Regulation regulates the registration, evaluation and approval of chemicals and came into force on June 1, 2007. The focus of the regulation is the registration of all substances over one ton per year that are manufactured in the EU, imported into the Community or placed on the market there.

In the pre-registration phase, which ended on December 1, 2008, we pre-registered all REACH-relevant products manufactured by us on time. For strategic reasons, pre-registrations were also made for procurement-critical raw materials.

The registration of the substances in the first quantity level >1000 t took place on time by December 1st, 2010. ROMONTA is lead registrant of the REACH consortium “Montan Wax” and member of the REACH consortium “Calcium sulfate” initiated by EUROGYPSUM.
