We aim to provide our customers with maximum benefit by being the problem solver for all waste-related issues. Wertstoffaufbereitung GmbH Edersleben, with its locations in Edersleben and Stedten, is active in the following business areas.

Business Areas

    • Sorting of household, commercial, and industrial waste (see acceptance catalogue)
    • Treatment/preparation of substitute fuels of different qualities, biogenic waste, shredded light fractions, deglazing of old windows, recycling of used wood
    • Utilisation of substitute fuels and processed waste in the EBS power plant of the ROMONTA Group (capacity 220,000 tons/year)

Recyclers

In the context of household, commercial, and industrial waste disposal, we provide high-quality input streams for your recycling facilities: 

  • Biogenic waste for biogas production (fermentation) and high-quality compost production
  • Plastic waste for material recovery and oil production
  • Substitute fuels (EBS) of various qualities for use in the cement and lime industries, as well as additives for the steel industry
  • Used wood processing (A1-A4) for use in wood power plants, biomass power plants, and particleboard production
  • Scrap metals (Ferrous and Non-Ferrous) of various qualities from the treatment of shredded light fractions, as well as commercial and industrial waste

Producer

"According to § 3 (5) KrW-/AbfG, a producer of waste is defined as any natural or legal person whose activity has generated waste, or any person who performs pre-treatment, mixing, or other processes that change or affect the nature or composition of that waste."

Regardless of the extent to which we are all "waste producers", both public and private sectors are obligated to ensure proper waste disposal.

As a reliable partner, we offer services starting from waste classification and planning disposal concepts to logistical implementation.

On request, we collect the generated waste directly from the point of origin and ensure its recovery or disposal. As a certified waste disposal company within the ROMONTA Group, we have access to a thermal incineration capacity of 220,000 tons per year. Thus, we can provide you a fixed acceptance quota.

Broker

We support you with the establishment, organization, and implementation of a material flow management and we would like to advise you on all technical matters. 

With our extensive range of waste code numbers, we can also provide contract services. This allows you to easily process your own waste quantities through us and subsequently market them independently.


Waste Management Services

If you are involved in transportation, collection, or container services, you can reach us at two production facilities.

 

Both facilities provide the following services:

  1. Processing of shredded lightweight fractions
  2. Processing of screened/sorted materials from the following areas: 
    • Household and commercial waste treatment (sorting plants, mechanical-biological treatment plants, composting and fermentation facilities)
    • Bulky waste and construction mixed waste treatment facilities
    • EBS and SBS recycling plants
    • DSD sorting plants
    • Other waste treatment facilities
  3. Treatment and processing or recycling of:
    • Soiled plastic waste and plastic composites
    • Technical rubber waste (NBR, CR, EPDM)
